HICAPS and HealthShare announce new partnership
HICAPS, Australia’s leading claims and payments solution for healthcare providers, has partnered with digital health company HealthShare to help private health fund members find a healthcare provider who offers HICAPS in their practice more quickly and easily.
HealthShare’s market-leading Find a Provider directory allows both consumers and GPs to research and find the right health provider for their individual needs. It is available at www.healthshare.com.au and receives more than 500,000 unique visitors a month.
NAB Health Customer Executive, Kate Galvin, said NAB continually looks for ways to improve the customer experience. “This partnership will better connect healthcare providers with users looking for their services,” Ms Galvin said.
“HealthShare’s existing partnerships with providers and private health funds made them a natural partner for NAB to work with, and we look forward to delivering more integrated solutions together.”
The directory is integrated into GP clinical software vendors Best Practice and MedicalDirector, enabling over 90 per cent of Australian GPs to access the directory as part of their regular referral workflow. It also powers the Find a Provider search functionality for many private health insurers on their own websites.
Using the HICAPS service, providers can offer health fund members the ability to claim and receive health fund payment immediately after their appointment, creating a seamless and simple payment experience.
For participating HICAPS health service providers, the partnership will complement and extend the existing Find a Provider search function on the HICAPS website. HICAPS providers can further claim their free HealthShare profile, enabling them to add comprehensive information about their services, including practice locations, special interest areas, languages spoken and more.
HealthShare CEO, Rami Weiss, said the company is delighted to partner with HICAPS on this initiative.
“The new partnership reinforces our commitment to users to provide them with comprehensive and relevant information when they are searching for the right health provider for their needs,” Mr Weiss said.
