SpecialistNow by HealthShare service featured on Channel 7 News – highlighting that HealthShare continues to grow as a trusted source of health information for Australian patients and GPs.

The story focused on extended waiting times for patients to see Specialists, and how both patients and Specialists can benefit from SpecialistNow by HealthShare’s service. ENT Specialist Dr Glen Burgess said, “we get a number of cancellations and so sometimes we can contact people at last minute and help them out”.

Sue Nathanson, a Practitioner Support Team Member, spoke about the impact that this service has on patients and how grateful some can be: “we have had people even crying on the phone sometimes and it is very rewarding”.

Year to date, there have been more than 18,000 visitors to SpecialistNow by HealthShare and over 2,000 requests fulfilled.
